The specific application of high-frequency heat sealing machines in the production of medical devices
High-frequency heat sealing is the primary heat sealing process in the production of many critical medical devices and consumables.
1. Blood Management and Infusion Equipment (Largest Application Area)
Blood Bags (Whole Blood Bags, Component Blood Bags, Transfer Bags):
Applications: Welding bag outlines, internal channels, and connections between blood collection/transfusion catheters and the bag body. This is the most valuable application of high-frequency welding, enabling "heat sealing welding" of membranes and rigid PVC fittings to form a seal.
Requirements: 100% leak-free; weld strength must withstand centrifugation, compression, etc.
Infusion Bags/Bottles (Non-PVC materials such as EVA are also applicable):
Applications: Sealing bag edges and welding infusion tubing interfaces.
Peritoneal Dialysis Bags:
Applications: Similar to blood bags, requiring the integrity of the fluid barrier during long-term storage.
2. Various Drainage and Collection Bags
Urine Bags, Chest/Abdominal Drainage Bags, Vomitus Collection Bags:
Applications: Welding bag bodies, drainage tubes, etc. Reliable sealing of flexible membranes with components of various shapes is required.
Advantages: Welding and punching can be completed in one step, with smooth, burr-free edges.
3. Interventional and Surgical Consumables
Surgical Robot Sterile Protective Sheath/Instrument Sheath:
Application: Welding complex three-dimensional sheath-like structures to form a sterile barrier. Requires dust-free, non-destructive welding and absolute airtightness.
Intravascular Catheters (e.g., balloon catheters):
Application: Welding the balloon at the distal end of the catheter, requiring extremely high sealing and stable burst pressure.
4. In Vitro Diagnostic (IVD) Consumables
Sample Collection Bags, Reagent Bags, Cell Culture Bags:
Application: Welding the bag body, sometimes requiring the integration of filter membranes or breathable membranes. The welding process must not produce precipitates to avoid affecting reagents or cells.
5. Protective and Isolation Products
Medical Isolation Gowns (Non-woven Fabric + Film Composite Parts), Pneumatic Tourniquets, Ice Blankets/Ice Caps:
Application: Welding airtight or watertight channels. Requires strong welds capable of withstanding a certain pressure.
